Job summary

McNICHOLS in Draper, UT is seeking a skilled Welder to join our team. The Welder performs welding and fabrication of steel, stainless and aluminum products, and supports general warehouse duties to fulfill customer orders.

All uniforms and safety gear are provided, with training, skill-based pay, and opportunities for career growth. 1-2 years welding experience or technical training is preferred, and ability to read precise measurements and follow instructions is essential.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of welding experience or comparable technical training.
• Must be able to setup welding machine and pass welding test for horizontal and vertical (2F/3F) weld on ¼” thick metal.
• Ability to read and understand precise measurements.
• Ability to follow detailed work instructions and maintain high quality standards.
• Must be self-motivated to provide quality products and service for our customers.
• Must be able to communicate and work well as a team member.

Responsibilities

• Weld (GMAW) steel, stainless and aluminum
• Cut metal using shears, saw, plasma cutter or other equipment
• Operate power tools including sanders, grinders, etc.
• Operate a forklift, side loader, or crane as needed to move materials
• Perform shipping and receiving tasks to complete customer order including pulling stock and crating product.
