Job summary

McNICHOLS is seeking a Welder at our Annapolis Junction, MD location to weld steel, stainless, and aluminum parts. The role supports fabrication operations and works with shipping to fulfill customer orders.

All uniforms, welding gear, and safety equipment are provided in a clean, safe work environment. We offer an excellent training program, skill-based pay, and strong career growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of welding experience or comparable technical training.
• Must be able to setup welding machine and pass welding test for horizontal and vertical (2F/3F) weld on ¼” thick metal.
• Ability to read and understand precise measurements.
• Ability follow detailed work instructions and maintain high quality standards.
• Must be self-motivated to provide quality products and service for our customers.
• Must be able to communicate and work well as a team member.

Responsibilities

• Weld (GMAW) steel, stainless and aluminum
• Cut metal using shears, saw, plasma cutter or other equipment
• Operate power tools including sanders, grinders, etc.
• Operate a forklift, side loader, or crane as needed to move materials
• Perform shipping and receiving tasks to complete customer order including pulling stock and crating product.
