Welder Job Responsibilities

• Perform MIG and/or structural welding on steel components according to established weld procedures and specifications
• Fit, position, align, and assemble steel components for welding and fabrication
• Read and follow welding procedures, drawings, blueprints, and job specifications as required
• Grind and prepare steel surfaces prior to welding
• Preheat materials using a torch as required
• Move, position, and handle steel materials using overhead cranes and/or forklifts
• Perform visual inspections of completed welds to ensure quality and accuracy
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe welding and fabrication area
• Follow all company safety procedures and welding standards
• Work as part of a fabrication and production team while maintaining quality and productivity standards

• 7:00 PM - 3:30 AM

Welder/Fitter Pay

Pay is based on experience.

Competitive compensation is available based on your welding, fitting, fabrication, and structural welding experience.

A weld test is required during the interview process.

Welder/Fitter Qualifications

• Previous welding and fitting experience required
• Experience with MIG welding and/or structural welding
• Experience working with steel and fabrication equipment preferred
• Ability to fit, align, and assemble steel components
• Ability to safely handle and move heavy materials
• Ability to read and follow welding procedures, drawings, blueprints, and job specifications
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to work safely in a manufacturing or fabrication environment
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Overhead crane and/or forklift experience is a plus
