Job summary

Randstad USA is seeking a skilled MIG Welder to join our production team in Decatur, GA. You will read blueprints, prep materials, set up GMAW equipment for carbon steel and aluminum, and perform high-quality production and structural welds on assemblies.

Ideal candidates have about 5 years of weld experience, no degree required, and are comfortable standing 8 hours, lifting up to 50 lbs, and following safety protocols.

Job description

Responsibilities

We are seeking a skilled MIG Welder proficient in joining both carbon steel and aluminum components. You will read technical blueprints, prep materials, set up GMAW equipment according to metal thickness, and perform high-quality production and structural welds.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute clean, strong MIGwelds on carbon steel and aluminum assemblies using solid wire and spool gun/push-pull setups.
  • Cut, grind, clean, and fit steel and aluminum parts according to engineering specifications and tolerance limits.
  • Interpret welding symbols, technical drawings, and work orders to guide proper joint design and layout.
  • Maintain gas flow rates, select proper wire drives/contact tips, perform routine wire changes, and troubleshoot minor feeder issues.
  • Inspect finished welds for defects and repair as necessary to ensure structural integrity.
  • Strictly adhere to PPE requirements, proper ventilation practices for aluminum fumes, and workshop safety protocols.

salary: $41,600 - $52,000 per year

work hours: 8 AM - 4 PM
