Job summary

Randstad USA in Georgia is seeking an experienced Welder & Fabricator to join our field operations team. You will perform high-precision welding on pipe and plate metals at customer sites, and interpret complex drawings to deliver structural repairs and fabrications with pride and safety.

Qualifications

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Welder & Fabricator to join our field operations team. In this role, you will execute high-precision welding on various pipe and plate metals, interpret complex technical drawings, and deliver structural repairs and fabrications directly on customer sites. The ideal candidate thrives in dynamic environments, takes pride in superior craftsmanship, and operates with zero compromise on safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Welding Operations: Perform advanced TIG, MIG, and Stick welding on a wide range of pipe and plate metals (carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum, etc.) across multiple positions.
• Blueprint Reading: Accurately interpret and execute work based on complex blueprints, isometric drawings, piping schematics, and standard weld symbols.
• Quality Control: Precision-fit and weld assemblies to consistently meet and pass strict structural, code, and quality inspections (e.g., AWS, ASME standard tests).
• Field Maintenance & Repair: Conduct onsite troubleshooting, emergency structural repairs, custom field fabrications, and mechanical maintenance to minimize equipment downtime.
• Safety & Workplace Standards: Maintain a safe workspace by following site safety protocols, conducting pre-task assessments, and ensuring proper care of welding gear and field rigs.

Qualifications & Requirements

• 3 to 5+ years of professional experience in field welding, pipefitting, or structural fabrication.
• Mastery of multi-process welding (TIG / GTAW, MIG / GMAW, Stick / SMAW) on both pipe and plate.
• Proficiency in reading complex engineering blueprints and isometric pipe drawings.
• Relevant industry certifications preferred (e.g., AWS Certified Welder, ASME Pipe Certification).
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to work outdoors or in diverse field conditions.

The essential functions of this role include:

• working in a smoke free environment
• wearing steel toe shoes
• working in a non-temperature controlled environment
