Job summary

QPS Employment Group has a great Welder position available at a company in Wentzville, WI. This is a 1st and 2nd shift position with the opportunity for hire.

We offer a wage of $20.00 per hour with 7:00am-3:00pm or 3:00pm-11:00pm shifts. Candidates should be able to read blueprints, perform MIG welding, and work in a hot environment while standing for long periods.

Qualifications

• MIG welding experience or certification from a welding school.
• Ability to read blueprints and welding symbols.
• Read tape measures, calipers, and welding gauges.
• Physical stamina to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long shifts.

Responsibilities

• Set up and perform all-position welding on standard weldments according to procedures.
• Fit and position weldments with fixtures or by eye when fixtures aren’t available.
• Work from blueprints, drawings, process instructions, and job layouts.
• Layout and inspect parts using inspection tools like tape measures and gauges.
• Ensure proper alignment and quality of welded assemblies.

Position Title: Welder

Wage: $20.00 per hour

Shift: 1st, 2nd

Hours: 7:00am-3:00pm; 3:00pm-11:00pm

QPS Employment Group has a great Welder position available at a company in Wentzville, WI. This is a 1st and 2nd shift position with the opportunity for hire.

Welder Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Set up and perform all-position welding on standard weldments and structures according to welding procedures.
• Fit and position weldments with multiple parts, using fixtures and jigs where applicable; scribe, locate, and position parts when fixtures/jigs are not available.
• Work from blueprints, drawings, process instructions, and job layouts.
• Layout and inspect parts using inspection equipment such as tape measures, scales, calipers, height gauges, templates, squares, angle finders, protractors, and weld gauges.
• Ensure proper alignment and quality of welded assemblies.

Welder Requirements:

• Ability to lift 50 lbs. repetitively.
• Ability to stand and bend throughout the shift.
• Ability to work 10-hour days, four days a week.
• Ability to work in a hot environment.
• Ability to read tape measures, calipers, and welding gauges.
• Ability to read manufacturing blueprints, including weld symbols.
• MIG welding experience or certification from a reputable welding school.
• TIG welding, layout, and setup experience preferred but not required.
• Experience with robotic welders is a plus but not required.
• Fork truck experience is a plus (only after client training).
