Job summary

Ingram Marine Group is seeking an Experienced Welder for our team in East Carondelet, Illinois. The role focuses on repair and maintenance of the fleet of barges and boats, with training opportunities available to grow into the next level.

The position requires wire and stick welding, cutting and fitting, and operating forklift and hydraulic crane, in a dynamic environment where flexibility and willingness to take on new tasks are valued. Compensation includes benefits and potential bonus.

Qualifications

  • Experience with wire and stick welding.
  • Willingness to perform maintenance on marine vessels.
  • Experience operating forklifts and hydraulic cranes a plus.

  • Wire and stick weld on barges and boats.
  • Cutting and fitting parts for repairs.
  • Operate forklift and hydraulic crane as required.
  • Inspect and pump barges; route dock clean up; perform other duties as requested.

Ingram Marine Group is seeking an Experienced Welder for our team in East Carondelet, Illinois. Whether you are a Certified Welder, or just starting, we will invest in your training and development for the next level.

This position is responsible for the repair and maintenance of Ingram's fleet of barges and boats. We operate in an environment where flexibility and a willingness to take on new tasks, and responsibilities keep things interesting!

What you'll be doing:
  • Wire and stick welding
  • Cutting/Fitting
  • Operating forklift
  • Operating hydraulic crane
  • Inspecting and pumping barges
  • Route dock clean up
  • Other duties as requested

Our job titles may span more than one career level. The salary rate for this role is currently $21.00-35.50 The actual salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, education, business needs, market demands and work location. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. More information on offered benefits, which include health, welfare, and retirement, are available at mywabtecbenefits.com.
