Job summary

Senneca is seeking an experienced Welder for our Cincinnati, OH plant. You will read blueprints, select welding methods, and execute MIG and TIG welding to repair and fabricate steel components.

Responsibilities include marking and assembling parts, grinding and polishing surfaces, and verifying dimensions with tape measures. The role requires English fluency, ability to work OT and Saturdays, and forklift certification may be required.

Overview

We are searching for an experienced Welder at our Cincinnati, OH - Plant facility.

Responsibilities

• Studies blueprints or drawings of articles to be constructed or repaired, and plans sequence of fabrication and assembly operations to be performed.


• Perform basic welding skills; adjust welders to material being welded, select clamps, use jigs, fixtures, flame cut, plasma cut, drill material and other necessary equipment as required by the project


• Grinds and Polishes steel.

Requirements

• Must be able to read and interpret blue prints/drawings.


• Must be able to Mig and Tig weld.


• Must be able to grind and polish steel.


• Must be able to read a tape measure.


• Must have knowledge of and experience using basic hand tool and machinery usage (hammers, electric drills, drill presses, grinders, etc.)


• Must be able to obtain fork truck certification.


• Language Skills: Fluent in English language; including ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.


• Must be able to work some OT and Saturdays.


• Mathematical Skills: Basic math, addition and subtraction of fractions.


• Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.


• Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Required Education/Experience

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
