Job summary

TREW LLC is seeking a skilled Welder for the weekend shift, Friday through Sunday, from 6:00am to 6:30pm. The role requires experience in MIG and robotic welding, with strong attention to detail and safety awareness.

Responsibilities include reading blueprints, setting up fixtures, and maintaining welding equipment while mentoring teammates to ensure high-quality workmanship and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; AWS welding certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Follow safety policies and wear PPE.
  • Read blueprints, schematics, and specifications to plan welding work.
  • Design and set up welding fixtures and operate welding equipment.
  • Weld mild steel components using MIG welding.
  • Inspect welds for quality and conformance to specs.
  • Repair or modify metal structures as needed.
  • Maintain clean, organized work area and follow safety protocols.
  • Mentor welders and train team on techniques and safety.

Job description

Weekend Shift - Friday thru Sunday - 6:00am to 6:30pm

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Welder to join our team. The Welder will be responsible for welding various assemblies using both manual and robotic welding methods. The ideal candidate will have experience in welding, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and quality.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Follow all company and industry safety policies including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required.
  • Adhere to company, OSHA, and other applicable standards and regulations. Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to plan welding operations.
  • Design, fabricate, and implement welding fixtures to support accurate, efficient, and repeatable welding processes. Set up, operate, and maintain welding equipment and tools.
  • Weld mild steel components together using traditional MIG welding processes.
  • Inspect completed welds to ensure they meet specifications and quality standards.
  • Repair or modify existing metal structures as required.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Collaborate with other team members to complete projects on time.
  • Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Mentor and train welders in proper welding techniques, safety protocols, and the use of equipment to ensure high-quality workmanship and compliance with industry standards.

Required Skills/ Abilities

  • Proficiency in various welding techniques and equipment.
  • Strong ability to read and understand technical documents, such as blueprints and schematics.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of welding safety procedures and practices.
  • Physical ability to perform welding tasks, including lifting heavy materials and standing for long periods.
  • Good communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.

Education/Experiences

  • High school diploma or equivalent; certification in welding from a recognized institution is preferred.
  • Certification from the American Welding Society (AWS) or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with automated or robotic welding systems.
  • Proven experience as a welder in a manufacturing or construction environment.

The work environment for a Welder may include exposure to manufacturing machinery and potentially noisy conditions. The temperature inside a warehouse can vary. Some warehouses are climate-controlled, while others may not.

Physical Requirements

The employee will frequently lift on average 30lbs throughout the course of a shift, ability to lift up 50 lbs occasionally. The employee will be required to stand for extended periods of time. The employee will be required to frequently bend and/ or twist throughout the course of a shift. Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity are often necessary, especially for tasks like for assembly of smaller components.
