Job summary

TOPS Staffing is seeking experienced Welders for a direct hire on 2nd shift. MIG and Stick welding of fabricated steel components, with reading blueprints and weld symbols. Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM–11:30 PM, starting at $26.00/hour. Training on daylight shift before transition.

You'll maintain quality by inspecting welds, preparing materials, and keeping a clean, safe work area. This role offers union benefits and long-term stability in a growing manufacturing operation.

Responsibilities

• MIG and Stick weld fabricated steel components.
• Read and work from blueprints, weld symbols, and shop drawings.
• Fit, prep, grind, and clean materials before welding.
• Inspect finished welds for quality and accuracy.
• Make adjustments as needed to produce quality welds.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Complete basic production and quality documentation.
• Learn additional welding processes as needed.

Welder – MIG / Stick Direct Hire | 2nd Shift | $26.00+/Hour – Great company benefits TOPS Staffing is looking for experienced Shop Welders to join a growing manufacturing operation. If you're a solid MIG/Stick welder looking for a long-term shop position, steady Monday-Friday hours, and strong union benefits, this is a great opportunity.

Schedule & Pay 2nd Shift: Monday–Friday Hours: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM Starting Pay: $26.00/hour Initial training will be completed on daylight shift before transitioning to 2nd shift.

What You'll Be Doing

• MIG and Stick weld fabricated steel components

What We’re Looking For

• Previous MIG and Stick welding experience required
• Must be able to successfully complete a weld test
• Ability to read blueprints and welding symbols
• Manufacturing or heavy fabrication experience preferred
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic
• SAW experience is a plus, but not required — training is available
