Job summary

Waev Inc. is seeking a production Welder at our Anaheim, CA facility to join our metal fabrication team. You will perform welding tasks on aluminum parts, follow production schedules, and document quality checks.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding tasks based on production schedules.
• Inspect parts before and after entering workstations and report non-conformance.
• Perform quality testing and document required records (labor reporting, move tickets, SPC charts).
• Maintain attendance and a clean, safe work area.
• Rotate between workstations and follow supervisor directives.
• Work overtime as required by production schedules.

Job description

Waev Inc. is an electric mobility OEM founded in 2021 to manufacture, distribute, market, and support the GEM, Taylor-Dunn and Tiger brands. GEM was the first commercially-produced, street-legal low-speed vehicle in the United States. GEMs shuttle people and goods across city centers, residential communities, government campuses, colleges and universities, and other micro-environments. Founded in 1949, Taylor-Dunn burden carriers, personnel carriers, and stockchasers have been trusted solutions in a broad range of commercial environments and provide premium reliability, safety features, and all-electric efficiency for industrial grade applications. Tiger heavy-duty tow tractors have been towing cargo, baggage, parcel, and other equipment in ground support applications since 1981. Waev's headquarters and factory are located in Anaheim, California.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform welding tasks based on production schedules.
• Inspect all parts prior to and following entering workstations assigned to; immediately report non-conformance issues to group leader and/or Supervisor.
• Perform quality testing and documentation as required.
• Accurately complete paperwork required for production records, including: labor reporting, move tickets, SPC charts etc.
• Maintain regular, reliable attendance.
• Follow all safety rules and regulations strictly and maintain a clean and orderly work area.
• Maintain a consistent pace throughout the shift with focus on quality (i.e., within applicable quality standards). ·
• Rotate between workstations as assigned.
• Perform duties assigned by Supervisor and/or Group Leader.
• Work overtime as required and mandated by production schedules.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and push/pull up to 100 lbs.
• Ability to bend, twist, turn, kneel, and squat.
• Stand and walk up to nine hours per day, work overtime as needed and reach overhead continuously.
• Work safely around moving equipment, power tools, and industrial vehicles.
• -Repetitive use of upper extremities.
• -Good hand-eye coordination and dexterity
• -It may be necessary to perform any of these functions up to twelve hours a day.

Job Requirements:

• 18 years of age or older.
• 1+ years of industry weld experience
• Experience with MIG aluminum welding and TIG welding.
• Ability to read and understand routings, work orders and production reports necessary.
• Detail-oriented
