Job summary

Brenton LLC in Alexandria, MN seeks a Welder for the evening shift to weld frames and component parts for automated packaging systems. You'll read blueprints, set up welding and cutting operations, and work with the fabrication team to ensure quality and on-time completion.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Set up and run welding and cutting processes proficiently.
• Build welding fixtures and read weld symbols.
• Weld machine frames and component parts with minimal supervision.
• Read and interpret blueprints and follow safety standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and mentor others as needed.
• Complete jobs in a timely manner and adhere to quality requirements.

About the Role

Brenton is seeking a Welder to work on the evening shift to weld frames and component parts for the manufacture of automated packaging systems. This position reports to the Fabrication Supervisor. This is a night position, working from 3:30pm – 4:00am Monday – Thursday.

Location

Brenton, based in Alexandria, MN, is a leading manufacturer of case packers, palletizers, shrink‑wrapping machines and complete End of Line packaging systems for the food & beverage and consumer packaged goods markets. Brenton is a division of Pro Mach, a leading provider of integrated packaging and processing solutions for over 20,000 customers worldwide.

Responsibilities

• Set up and run all required welding and cutting process proficiently.
• Build welding fixtures.
• Have complete knowledge of weld symbols.
• Familiar with machining processes.
• Conform to requirements on a consistent basis in all welding, cutting, and finishing processes, and ensure other employees do so as well.
• Accept and complete jobs in a reasonable amount of time.
• Read and understand all blue‑prints.
• Weld machine frames and piece parts proficiently with no supervision.
• Follow safety standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Keep up to date on new techniques and processes.
• Support world class check‑out process.
• Perform other tasks as requested by supervisor.

Salary and Benefits

Base Hourly Range: $23-$30/hour
