Welder – Addison, IL 60101 – Pay: $19.00/hr – Shift: 1st

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Welder to perform welding, weld preparation, and finishing operations according to drawings, specifications, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Read and interpret project plans, blueprints, drawings, diagrams, and written instructions.
• Perform MIG welding and weld preparation according to specifications.
• Weld and finish products to meet established quality standards.
• Inspect completed welds to ensure quality, accuracy, and proper appearance.
• Perform routine welding equipment maintenance.
• Identify quality or equipment issues and notify management when necessary.
• Support continuous process improvement initiatives.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

Qualifications

• Previous MIG welding experience preferred.
• Experience welding 20 10 gauge sheet metal preferred.
• Welding training or documented welding experience preferred.
• Ability to read and understand drawings, diagrams, and written instructions.
• Basic math skills, including measurements, fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced production environment.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. when required.

Ability to stand, walk, reach, and perform physical tasks throughout the workday.

Ability to visually inspect welds and finished products.

Ability to work safely with welding equipment and required PPE.
