Job summary

Eaton is seeking a Weld Technician for the Troy, IL facility on the 3rd shift. You will read engineering drawings and welding symbols, inspect welds for quality, and work with a cross-functional team of skilled welders.

The role uses robotic, hand, and progressive welders along with AutoMig equipment. Overtime may be required and the position supports comprehensive benefits from day one.

Qualifications

• Minimum six months manufacturing experience.
• No immigration sponsorship offered.

Eaton’s ES GEIS BLD division is currently seeking a Weld Technician - 3rd Shift at our Troy, IL facility! The core hours are Sunday - Thursday, 11:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m. Overtime may exceed these hours and be mandatory at times.The hourly rate for this position is $25.44/hr per hour, plus a $0.50 shift differntial. Weld Technicians will also follow a wage progression schedule and will reach $27.40 per hour after 12 monthsPlease note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. The technician will be responsible for reading and interpreting blueprints and welding symbols, participating in quality inspections, and collaborating within a cross-functional team of skills welders.In this function, you will:• Read and interpret engineering drawings and welding symbols.• Perform quality inspections to ensure weld integrity and product standards.• Equipment used in this role includes robotic welders, hand welders, progressive welders, and AutoMig welding equipmentQualifications:Basic Qualifications:• A minimum of six (6) months’ experience in a manufacturing environment.• Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position.
