Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED and 2 years of experience in building maintenance, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, concrete, or mechanical pipe installation and repair.
• A comparable amount of education, training, or experience may be substituted for the minimum requirement.
• CDL licenses required at hiring and within specified time frames.

Responsibilities

• Performs or assists with fabrication and welding tasks.
• Performs small engine repairs and operates power and hydraulic hand tools.
• May install and repair underground drainage piping, structures, and restoration.
• May perform concrete work (sidewalks, driveways, free form, etc.).
• May do grade shots for pipe and structure installation.
• Operates vehicles and equipment, including tractors, front loaders, mini excavators, skid loaders, forklifts, dump trucks, and trailers.
• May load and unload trailer equipment and materials.
• Performs routine service and maintenance of equipment.
• May perform minor plumbing work, general carpentry work, general masonry work, and minor electrical repairs.
• Works independently with limited supervision.
• May be assigned to other county locations based upon operational needs.
• Attends work regularly and adheres to safety regulations.
• Responds to emergency situations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
