Job summary

Athena Manufacturing, LP. in Austin, TX is seeking a Weld Robot Operator I to operate automated welding robots and ensure high-quality welds for our production lines.

You will monitor welding processes, maintain tight tolerances to AWS specs, and contribute to 2 Second Lean improvements, while following safety and quality standards. This is a hands-on role with room to grow within the company.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in welding or robotic operations preferred.
• 2 years minimum of Semiconductor sheet metal fabrication
• Basic knowledge of welding techniques and equipment.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and work independently.
• Strong attention to detail and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor automated welding robots for production.
• Responsible for maintaining tight tolerance weldments in accordance with AWS specs and customer drawing requirements.
• Tolerances of +/- .03" are common and must be adhered to.
• Ensure that the robot welds meet quality and safety standards.
• Implement 2 Second Lean improvements to enhance efficiency.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot minor issues.
• Other duties may be assigned by leadership.
