Job summary

Mitsubishi Chemical Advanced Materials Inc. seeks a dependable Weld Operator for our Delmont, PA facility. You will set up, operate, and maintain center weld equipment, ensuring product quality and production targets are met.

The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and committed to safety in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The position runs 3:00 PM–11:00 PM with a $1.00 per hour shift differential, and offers competitive benefits starting on day one.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Manufacturing or machine operator experience preferred.
  • Forklift and industrial saw experience is a plus.
  • Read blueprints, work instructions, and manufacturing orders.
  • Experience using measuring tools to verify product quality.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to complete production records.
  • Strong math, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of quality inspection processes and safe manufacturing practices.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Ability to safely perform the physical requirements of the position.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate center weld equipment and follow all safety procedures.
  • Set up, operate, and troubleshoot center weld machines, adjusting weld settings for optimal performance.
  • Operate production equipment including stamp presses, banding, packaging, plug machines, and basic sawing equipment.
  • It st hand tools for skiving, deburring, material preparation, and other production tasks.
  • Read and interpret manufacturing orders, blueprints, and product specifications.
  • Inspect products throughout the manufacturing process and complete quality documentation.
  • Perform weld inspections, identify defects, and adjust machines to maintain quality.
  • Operate forklifts to move materials and finished products safely within the facility.
  • Complete production transactions and maintain accurate records in the manufacturing system.
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area following 5S standards.
  • Coordinate with crew leaders and maintenance to resolve production or equipment issues.
  • Support additional production activities and perform other duties as assigned.

Weld Operator

We are looking for a dependable and safety-focused Weld Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will set up, operate, and maintain center weld equipment while ensuring products meet quality standards and production requirements. Primary Responsibilities
  • Safely operate center weld equipment and follow all company safety procedures.
  • Set up, operate, and troubleshoot center weld machines, including adjusting weld settings for optimal performance.
  • Operate production equipment including stamp presses, banding equipment, packaging machinery, plug machines, and basic sawing equipment.
  • Use hand tools for skiving, deburring, material preparation, and other production tasks.
  • Read and interpret manufacturing orders, blueprints, and product specifications.
  • Inspect products throughout the manufacturing process and complete quality documentation.
  • Perform weld inspections, identify defects, and make machine adjustments to maintain product quality.

Pay Transparency

The salary range for this position is $21.83 plus an additional $1.00 shift differential. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered. This salary will be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.
