Job summary

PTC Tubular Products LLC in Fairbury, IL seeks a mill operator to set up and run the tube mill, guiding crew during setup and maintenance. You will inspect product quality, record data, and operate testing equipment to ensure welds and dimensions meet spec. Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Correctly set the mill up using setup charts and mill reference manual.
• Direct crew members to assist in setup and minor maintenance.
• Adjust and operate tube mill to produce quality product with minimal waste and downtime.
• Inspect and monitor product measurements such as length, gauge, od size, id cut, weld integrity, and end condition.
• Complete applicable paperwork and enter data into computer.
• Operate eddy current tester and verify setup.
• Maintain safety for self and crew; keep work areas clean when not directed otherwise.
• Perform miscellaneous duties as directed.
