Job summary

PTC is seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to inspect, repair, replace, install, and maintain equipment in a steel mill environment. You will work with heavy industry machinery and overhead cranes, reading schematics and specifications to perform tasks safely and efficiently.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, 3–5 years of hands-on mechanical experience, and preferably a maintenance-related course or associate degree.

Qualifications

• Minimum education: High school diploma or GED and mechanical maintenance exposure.
• 3–5 years of hands-on industrial mechanical experience preferred.
• Experience with schematics, drawings, and technical specifications.
• Knowledge of PLCs and VFDs is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, repair, replace, install, adjust, and maintain equipment in a steel mill environment.
• Work with heavy industry equipment and overhead cranes.
• Read, analyze, interpret, and work from schematics and drawings.
• Follow safety guidelines and quality management system requirements.
• Shift work, weekends, callouts and overtime required.
• Maintain ERP and related programs; document activities and results.
