Challenge Manufacturing is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to inspect, install and repair production machinery and tools. You will work on welding, grinding, lifting, and robotic systems while documenting downtime and maintenance in Plex.

This role emphasizes safety, efficiency, and continual improvement on our Bridgton, MO plant floor. The position requires at least two years in machine repair across mechanical, electrical, pneumatics and hydraulics, with basic robotics knowledge.

Qualifications

• Two years of machine repair experience (mechanical, electrical, pneumatics, hydraulics).
• Basic understanding of robotic controls and processes.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English to perform duties safely.
• Proficient with Microsoft applications and able to document work using Plex.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety procedures while servicing or maintaining equipment.
• Install, maintain, and repair production machinery and tools.
• Document downtime codes and work orders in Plex.
• Troubleshoot and repair manufacturing equipment and systems.
• Complete and manage work orders; participate in preventative maintenance.

Who We Want:

Responsible for inspection, installation and repair of machines used for production and within the tool room and maintenance machining areas. In addition, build and re-build equipment for various manufacturing needs.

What You’ll Do:

• Follow all safety procedures and protocols while servicing or maintaining equipment
• Follow specified maintenance and repair procedures to install, maintain, and repair production machinery and tools
• Utilize Plex to document appropriate downtime codes
• Troubleshoot, isolate and repair manufacturing machinery & equipment
• Use the following equipment safely: Basic Level Hand Tools Hand and Surface Grinders Hydraulic Jack Welders Scissor Lift Boom Lift Forklift Drill Presses Basic troubleshooting of both welding equipment and systems Basic knowledge/troubleshooting of lubrication processes (correct type, function, when to use, etc)
• Participate in continuous improvement efforts and drive process, tooling, and equipment enhancements that will improve production efficiency and product quality
• Basic knowledge of welding applications (MIG, Spot, Stud, etc.)
• Complete and manage work orders via the Plex systems
• Perform preventative maintenance and provide input on updates to preventative maintenance schedules (with guidance from a Weld Maintenance Mechanic level II or level III)
• Basic level robotic experience (robot movements, navigate/troubleshoot common basic level issues utilizing the teach pendant Basic level knowledge of lubrication processes (functionality, correct type, when to use))
• Ability to use common hand measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, feeler gages, etc)

When and Where:

This will be a 1st Shift/ 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM position located at our plant in Bridgton, MO.

What You Need to Have:

• High School diploma or General Educational Development (GED)
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English at a level sufficient to safely and effectively perform job duties, including following work instructions, safety procedures, and company communications.
• Proficient with Microsoft Applications (e.g. word, excel, outlook, etc).
• Minimum of two (2) years of Machine Repair experience Mechanical, Electrical, Pneumatics, and Hydraulics experience Basic understanding of relevant Robotic controls and processes
