Job summary

Challenge Manufacturing is seeking a skilled welder for 1st shift at our Richmond, KY plant. You will assemble and weld metal parts, develop welding parameters for new applications, and ensure part quality before assembly.

Reading blueprints and following safety procedures are essential, with ERP usage and active housekeeping responsibilities. Candidates should have a high school diploma, 3–5 years of relevant experience, and TIG welding certification.

Qualifications

  • High School Graduate or equivalent 3-5 years in relevant work experience.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English at a level sufficient to safely and effectively perform job duties, including following work instructions, safety procedures, and company communications.
  • Certified in tig welding.
  • Has high standards of performance for self.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble and weld metal parts
  • Develop welding parameters, procedures and fixturing for new applications
  • Ensure the quality of metal parts before assembling them
  • Read and interpret blueprints
  • Adhere to safety procedures
  • Utilization of plexus (ERP system)

Who We Want:

Repair parts/components that are non-conforming to customer specification by welding, grinding, or other methods as required.

What You’ll Do:
  • Assemble and weld metal parts
  • Develop welding parameters, procedures and fixturing for new applications

When and Where:

This will be a 1st Shift / 6:00AM-2:30PM M-F position located at our Plant in Richmond, KY.

What You Need to Have:
  • High School Graduate or equivalent 3-5 years in relevant work experience
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English at a level sufficient to safely and effectively perform job duties, including following work instructions, safety procedures, and company communications.
  • Certified in tig welding
  • Has high standards of performance for self.
  • Takes responsibility for actions, results, and mistakes.
  • Is thorough, accurate, and reliable when performing and completing job tasks; demonstrates honesty and integrity in all aspects of work.
  • Able to be self-motivated and prioritize tasks as assigned
