Job summary

6 Degrees Search is seeking a Weld Engineer to develop and sustain welding and additive manufacturing processes, including Direct Energy Deposition. You will own the welding program, collaborate with QA and NDT teams, and provide hands-on floor support to enhance process capability.

Responsibilities include procedures, customer-facing work instructions, and ongoing process improvement with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Weld Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, or Materials Science with emphasis on weld processes (desired).
• Minimum 1–3 years' experience as a weld engineer or in additive manufacturing research.

Responsibilities

• Develop and own the welding program (AWS, ASME and others).
• Provide on-floor support to welders and engineering team for welding and additive processes.
• Collaborate with non-destructive testing to develop a weld inspection program.
• Develop and write manufacturing and welding procedures and additive manufacturing procedures.
