Rittal LLC in Urbana, OH is seeking a Weld Engineer to drive welding process innovation, enhance manufacturing efficiency, and improve quality across fabrication operations. As the Weld Engineer , you will drive welding process innovation, manufacturing efficiency, and quality improvements across Rittal’s fabrication operations. You will be responsible for developing and optimizing welding technologies, supporting new product launches, implementing capital projects, and ensuring best-in-class manufacturing practices. This role partners closely with Engineering, Quality, Production, Maintenance, and external suppliers to create safe, efficient, and scalable manufacturing processes that support continued business growth.

Requires extended periods on the manufacturing floor and in an office environment working at a computer. Stand, walk, bend, twist, and reach frequently throughout the work shift. Occasionally lift up to 50 pounds to waist level and up to 25 pounds above the shoulders.
Work in a fast-paced environment, adapt to assignment changes easily, ability to multi-task, learn office procedures and learn and use new software. Must be detail oriented; communicate effectively via oral and written communication with all levels of employees, customers, and vendors. Self-starter who is willing to work through and seek answers to ongoing new requirements. Must be able to work with minimum supervision.
Wear safety-toed footwear, safety glasses with side shields, hearing protection and additional personal protective equipment where required.
Complete directives given either verbally or in writing. Make and assist in determining logical decisions.
Direct Contacts: Vice President of Operations, Manufacturing Engineering Manager, Manufacturing Engineering Coordinator, Manufacturing Engineering team members, Maintenance, Managers, Supervisors, Team Leaders, internal and external vendors and customers.
