Position Summary
The Welcome Desk Receptionist represents a welcoming and professional environment for patients, visitors and staff. Serves as the primary point of contact at the front desk, managing phone calls, assisting patients and staff, and provides administrative support.

  • Create a positive, inviting first impression to promote and maintain open communication with all.
  • Welcome and direct patients, visitors and staff upon arrival and direct them to the appropriate area.
  • Answer incoming callsand route them to the appropriate area.
  • Route deliveries to the appropriate area.
  • Coordinate long-distance, conference and international calls for our providers and staff.
  • Perform clerical or data processing functions as needed.
  • Adhere to security protocols: manage vendor log, issue visitor badges and monitor building entry procedures.
  • Maintain the front desk organization. Clean and well-stocked with supplies.
  • Accountability: Accepts full responsibility for self and contribution as a team member; displays honesty and truthfulness; confronts problems quickly; displays a strong commitment to organizational success and inspires others to commit to goals; demonstrates a commitment to National Jewish Health.
  • Customer Focus: Ensuring that the customer perspective is a driving force behind business decisions and activities; crafting and implementing service practices that meet customers’ and own organization’s needs.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Work Experience: A Minimum of six (6) months of customer service required.

Salary Range: $18.81 - $23.79
