Qualifications

• Four years of public contact work, including one year of weights and measures inspections.
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the requisite knowledge and skills and abilities with weights and measures inspections.

Responsibilities

• Device testing: Inspect and test weighing and measuring devices for accuracy and compliance.
• Package inspection: Check packaged goods and scanned items for correct weights, measures and prices.
• Fraud investigation: Investigate complaints, identify violations, and prepare enforcement documentation.
• Sample collection: Collect fuel and biofuel samples and prepare chain-of-custody forms for testing.
• Report completion: Prepare inspection reports and related documentation accurately and timely.
• Professional representation: Work with businesses, customers and partner agencies while enforcing regulations.
