Job summary

Black Hawk College in Illinois seeks a full-time WEI Program Recruiter to drive enrollment in short-term career and technical certificates. You will lead outreach, build community partnerships, and guide prospective students through initial steps toward high-demand occupations.

The role requires occasional evenings and weekends, travel, and strong communication skills; you will collaborate with Marketing, Student Services, and local partners to promote WEI programs and manage the grant

Qualifications

• Associate degree required; must obtain a Bachelor’s degree within 4 years of hire.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications required.
• Previous experience with a database preferred.
• Excellent communication skills required.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality required.
• Experience working with diverse populations required.
• Ability to deliver presentations using technology required.
• Flexible schedule including evenings and weekends required.
• Occasional travel required; valid driver's license required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.

Responsibilities

• Develops and executes outreach to identify and engage prospective students for WEI programs.
• Articulates program goals to students, stakeholders, and school districts.
• Builds partnerships with community organizations and WEI providers.
• Represents the College at community meetings and events.
• Manages WEI Grant student applications and initial inquiries.
• Conducts initial eligibility screening for WEI funding.
• Coordinates with Marketing and Recruitment to promote WEI programs.
• Collects data for program documents and reports.
