Job summary

CorrHealth is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to support inmate healthcare across multiple sites on a weekly travel schedule. This full-time position requires travel between CO, NM, TX and WY, with day/night shifts as needed.

The LPN will work under RNs, assist in assessments, medication administration, and patient teaching, and must hold a compact license and current CPR/BLS. Join our team to deliver compassionate care in a secure setting while meeting licensing, background, and travel

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited LPN/LVN program.
• Current and unrestricted compact license as LPN/LVN; must maintain license.
• CPR/BLS certification and ability to travel weekly as required.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision of a Registered Nurse, assist in assessment of inmates’ physical, psychological, and social needs.
• Help plan and implement individual treatment plans with available resources.
• Administer medications per standard techniques, including IV therapy when certified.
• Assist the provider in evaluations, procedures, and minor surgical procedures as needed.
• Obtain body fluid specimens and perform EKGs using proper techniques.
• Maintain documentation of controlled substances and medical equipment; ensure safety and confidentiality.
