Job summary

CorrHealth seeks a licensed practical nurse (LPN) to travel weekly among our facilities in CO, NM, TX, and WY, providing inmate healthcare support. This is a full-time, on-site travel position requiring a compact LPN license and eligibility to work across multiple states.

You will work under RNs, perform nursing duties including medication administration and patient education, and travel 36–48 hours weekly across designated sites.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited LPN/LVN program.
• Current and unrestricted compact license as LPN/LVN; must maintain license.

Responsibilities

• Assist in assessment of inmates' physical, psychological, and social needs under RN supervision.
• Plan and implement individual treatment programs with input from RNs and staff.
• Administer medications per protocol, including IV therapy where certified.
• Assist in evaluations, procedures, and minor surgeries with SOAP charting support.
• Obtain specimens and perform EKGs using proper techniques.
• Maintain documentation for controlled substances and medical equipment.
• Travel weekly to CorrHealth facilities and support care as needed.
