Job summary

Wallis Companies is seeking a motivated Commissary Line Cook for our Maryland Heights facility. You will prepare food to standard recipes, maintain sanitation, and support a high-volume production environment.

Responsibilities include following safety protocols, stocking and rotating product using FIFO, and collaborating with supervisors to meet daily targets in a fast-paced commissary operation.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English sufficiently for effective communication.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-motivated with high energy and a passion for food and customer service.
• Goal and safety oriented; able to work in a loud environment.
• Willingness to work a varied schedule and to work both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to health department regulations and company policies.
• Interpret production sheets and logs, ensure compliance with USDA paperwork.
• Follow safety protocols; log and temp foods, and dispose of expired items as required.
• Stock shelves and coolers using FIFO; protect company assets and maintain attendance.
• Assist with daily reporting, maintain professional communication with customers and colleagues.
• Provide support to supervisors and participate in growing talent within the team.
• Operate equipment and ensure proper storage, labeling, and portion control.
• Complete inventory counts and follow sanitation and safety guidelines.
