Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club in Hampton, VA is seeking a friendly cashier/member services associate. You will process member purchases, scan merchandise, and handle payments while delivering a positive, efficient checkout experience.

You will assist with membership options, renewals, and promotions, maintain a clean frontline area, and support club policies. Regular attendance and teamwork are essential. Weekly pay and comprehensive benefits are available.

Qualifications

• Basic math skills preferred.
• Prior cashier or sales experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process member purchases in a courteous and friendly manner, including scanning merchandise and accepting payments.
• Operate point-of-sale systems to ensure accurate totals and inventory counts.
• Issue receipts and provide change as needed; handle cash, checks, or other payments.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the frontline area and assist in club housekeeping as needed.
• Assist members at self-checkout lanes and help with service issues and technical difficulties.
• Support club policies and participate in teamwork to meet daily goals and standards.
