Job summary

LIFE Home Health is seeking compassionate caregivers to support clients at home in New York. You’ll perform light housekeeping, personal care, mobility assistance, meal prep, and accompany clients to appointments. This role emphasizes dignity, respect, and building trust with clients and families.

We value resilience, teamwork, and growth through training and advancement opportunities. Candidates must be reliable, with a valid driver’s license and ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Must have English language comprehension skills.
• Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting, eager to improve and continuously learn new skills.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, with physical capability to perform job-related duties.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation every single day.
• Ability to act in a compassionate and supportive manner with complex clients.
• Available to work a consistent schedule.
• Prior experience in a healthcare 'in-home' environment.
• Observe and enforce health and safety standards.
• Experience working as a caregiver, HHA, or CNA.
• Take pride in providing high-quality care.

Responsibilities

• Engagement: walks, outings, games, crafts, meal preparation, grocery shopping, and conversation.
• Light Housekeeping: laundry, vacuuming, dishes, dusting, trash removal, and checking mail.
• Personal Care: bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Medication and appointment reminders.
• Assist with transportation to doctor’s appointments.
