Job summary

Edward Elmhurst Health is hiring an RN Weekender for the Medical Pulmonary Unit in Arlington Heights, IL. The role is full-time, 36 hours per week, with day shifts from 7:00am to 7:30pm and four weekend shifts every two weeks.

Requires an Associate degree or BSN, IL RN licensure, and CPR certification. Pay ranges from $36.00 to $55.80 per hour with comprehensive benefits and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or BSN from an accredited nursing program.
• Current licensure to practice nursing in Illinois.
• Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient assessment and collection of health data involving patient, family and other health care providers.
• Coordinates patient plan of care to assure interventions are safe, timely and appropriate.
• Communicates clearly with patients, families and health care team in person, by phone and in writing.
• Individualizes patient and family teaching based on assessment needs.
• Participates in evaluating the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice via quality improvement.
• Maintains knowledge of nursing practice standards, laws and regulations.
