Job summary

Mercy Southeast in Cape Girardeau, MO, seeks a SE Weekender Registered Nurse for the Clinical Decision Unit. This part-time position covers 12-hour nights on weekends, with a 24-hour weekly schedule and eligibility for incentives including sign-on.

You will provide nursing care using the nursing process, coordinate with other departments, and uphold patient rights and confidentiality; RN licensure and BLS are required, with bridging programs available.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of acute nursing experience preferred.
• Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
• RN license required in the hiring state and/or compact licensure.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association or completion within 30 days of hire.
• Physical requirements: ability to push/pull/lift 50 pounds, prolonged standing and walking, and ability to reach/bend/kneel/twist/squat.

Location: Mercy Hospital Southeast, Cape Girardeau, MO

Department: Clinical Decision Unit (CDU)

Status: Part-Time - 24 hours/week

Shift: 12-hr Nights - Scheduled Weekends 1900-0730

Qualifications

• Experience: At least 1 year of acute nursing experience is preferred.
• Required Education: Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
• Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire. Other unit specific certifications as required.
• Other: Physical requirements/demands:
• Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis.
• Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift.
• Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
