i9 Sports in Albuquerque area is seeking a passionate Youth Tennis Instructor to join our team as a part-time contractor for weekend shifts. You will provide engaging tennis instruction to children across age groups and contribute to their growth in a fun, supportive environment.

As part of a team, you will develop lessons, promote sportsmanship, ensure safety, and communicate progress to parents. The role offers $18.00 per hour with flexible weekend scheduling and opportunities to advance

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience teaching or coaching tennis to youth.
• Strong knowledge of tennis techniques, rules, and strategies.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and motivate young players.
• Enthusiasm for working with children and promoting their physical and personal development.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver tennis lessons tailored to different age groups and skill levels.
• Teach fundamental tennis techniques, strategies, and rules while promoting sportsmanship and fair play.
• Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages participation and enjoyment.
• Organize and lead structured practice sessions, drills, and interactive games to enhance skill development.
• Provide constructive feedback and individualized coaching to help players improve their technique and performance.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants during training sessions.
• Maintain accurate attendance records and communicate with parents/guardians regarding program updates and player progress.
• Collaborate with other instructors and staff members to coordinate schedules and optimize program effectiveness.

Preferred Qualifications

• USPTA or PTR certification
• Experience playing competitive tennis at the high school, college, or professional level
• Experience organizing and conducting tennis camps or workshops
