i9 Sports - Aspen Management in the Albuquerque area is seeking a passionate Youth Tennis Instructor. This part-time contractor role includes weekend shifts and a starting pay rate of $18.00 per hour, with opportunities for advancement and employee discounts.

You will deliver engaging, age-appropriate tennis lessons, promote sportsmanship, and ensure safety while communicating progress to parents and coordinating with fellow instructors to optimize the program.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of youth tennis coaching experience.
• Solid knowledge of tennis techniques, rules and strategies.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.
• Flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.

Job Summary

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver tennis lessons tailored to different age groups and skill levels
• Teach fundamental tennis techniques, strategies, and rules while promoting sportsmanship and fair play
• Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages participation and enjoyment
• Organize and lead structured practice sessions, drills, and interactive games to enhance skill development
• Provide constructive feedback and individualized coaching to help players improve their technique and performance
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants during training sessions
• Maintain accurate attendance records and communicate with parents/guardians regarding program updates and player progress
• Collaborate with other instructors and staff members to coordinate schedules and optimize program effectiveness

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in teaching or coaching tennis to youth
• Strong knowledge of tennis techniques, rules, and strategies
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and motivate young players
• Enthusiasm for working with children and a passion for promoting their physical and personal development
• Reliable, responsible, and punctual, with the ability to effectively manage a group of young athletes
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, based on program needs

Preferred Qualifications:

• USPTA or PTR certification
• Experience playing competitive tennis at the high school, college, or professional level
• Experience organizing and conducting tennis camps or workshops
