i9 Sports Corporation is seeking Weekend Youth Sports Referees to support multiple leagues across our year-round programs. You will enforce rules, foster a positive culture, and act as on-field/on-court coach to enhance players, coaches, and spectators experience.

We offer opportunities to work across various sports with a flexible weekend schedule. This role is ideal for individuals with officiating or coaching experience and a passion for youth sports, operating within rotating seasonal venues

Qualifications

• Excellent communication with players, coaches, spectators.
• Reliable transportation to the workplace.
• Minimum of 2 years officiating, playing, or coaching in at least one sport.
• Motivated self-starter who can work independently and solve problems.
• Demonstrated awareness and ability to handle situations to ensure player safety.
• Flexibility to work weekends and some evenings for the season.

Responsabilités

• Thoroughly understand and enforce the i9 Sports rulebook for assigned sport(s).
• Teach and demonstrate core concepts, including sportsmanship values.
• Set up and break down game/practice field equipment.
• Keep time and score during the game while managing age-appropriate instruction.
• Consistently demonstrate a positive attitude and provide superior customer service.
• Assist volunteer coaches during practice sessions, conducting drills and answering questions.

Job Summary

Join our team as a Weekend Youth Sports Referee and play a critical role across our various athletic programs. Because we run a consistent variety of youth sports year-round, we are looking for versatile officials who can cover one or more of our leagues. As an Official, you will enforce rules, cultivate a positive culture, and act as an on-field/on-court coach, advocating for our programs. Your contribution directly impacts players, coaches, and spectators, making each game day a memorable experience.

Regional Details

Our programs rotate seasonally to utilize the best facilities in the area. This position covers our North Zone, which includes rotating venues across:

• Upland, Rancho Cucamonga, Fontana, Rialto, Ontario, Chino, and Chino Hills. Assignment locations vary by season. Reliable transportation to the cities within this cluster is required.

• Teach and demonstrate core concepts, including sportsmanship values.

• Keep time and score during the game, managing an age-appropriate level of instruction and competition.
• Consistently demonstrate a positive attitude and provide superior customer service.
• Assist volunteer coaches during practice sessions, conducting drills, and answering any questions they may have.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with players, coaches, and spectators.
• Reliable transportation to and from the workplace.
• Minimum of 2 years of officiating, playing, or coaching experience in at least one of our offered sports (multi-sport experience is highly preferred).
• Highly motivated self-starter who can work independently and solve problems.
• Demonstrated awareness and ability to take charge of any situation to ensure player safety.
• Positive attitude and strong ability to build professional relationships.
• Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including weekends and some evenings, for the full duration of the season (approximately 7 weeks).
• Must have a smartphone with internet capability.

Payment for this position is based on a game rate structure. This means that as an independent contractor, you will be paid weekly based only on the number of games you successfully work during that period. Your total weekly compensation will be the established rate multiplied by the number of games completed; it is not a fixed salary or an hourly wage for time spent outside of game duties. This structure directly ties your earnings to your active participation in scheduled games.
