Job summary

Samaritas is seeking Youth Specialists for weekend shifts to support adolescents in a Staff Supported Boys' Housing program in Royal Oak, Michigan. On-site roles require 3pm–11pm or 11pm–7am Saturday and Sunday to provide supervision and care for youth transitioning from foster care to independent living.

The role emphasizes safe, stable housing, trauma-informed support, and teamwork with case managers to promote healing and independence.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in human services or 60 college credits or equivalent experience.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation and current auto insurance.
• Experience or interest in working with youth in high-stress environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision and emotional support in a trauma-informed setting.
• Respond to crises with empathy and professionalism.
• Maintain a safe, structured environment that promotes healing and independence.
• Document observations and incidents in accordance with program standards.
• Collaborate with a team dedicated to youth empowerment and recovery.
