Job summary

Hudson Regional Health in Hoboken, NJ is seeking a Part-time X-ray/CT Scan Technologist to perform radiographic and CT imaging with accuracy and patient safety in mind. Responsibilities include operating advanced imaging equipment, preparing patients, and collaborating with radiologists to ensure diagnostic quality.

The role requires completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program, state licensure, CT certification, and knowledge of radiation safety.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• State licensure or certification as Radiologic Technologist; CT certification required, AART required.
• Proficiency in performing X-ray and CT scan procedures.
• Knowledge of radiation safety and protection standards.
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare team members.

Responsibilities

• Perform X-ray and CT scan procedures per established protocols to produce clear and accurate diagnostic images.
• Prepare and position patients appropriately for imaging, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the procedure.
• Operate and maintain imaging equipment, troubleshooting technical issues and coordinating routine maintenance as needed.
• Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare professionals to review images and ensure diagnostic quality.
• Maintain detailed patient records and imaging documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations and privacy standards.
• Adhere to radiation safety guidelines to minimize exposure to patients, staff, and self.
• Educate patients about the imaging process and answer any questions to alleviate concerns.
