Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking a Production Associate for 1st shift in Rocky Mount, VA. You will fabricate components for the final assembly of windows, work in a fast-paced environment, and perform tasks with hand or power tools while reading orders and schedules.

Responsibilities include measuring, lifting up to 50 pounds, and assisting with material handling. Prior manufacturing or tape-measure experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age to apply.
• Must be authorized to work in the US.
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug test.
• Ability to carry out written or verbal instructions.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist.
• Preferably with experience in manufacturing.
• Preferably with experience reading a tape measure.

Responsibilities

• Perform repetitive workstation operations to mass-produce windows, doors, and glass units.
• May support the window operations in delivering, wrapping, loading, and unloading of materials or windows.
• Perform any workstation function using hand or power tools, saws, welders, or routers.
• Understand and carry out verbal instructions.
• Read and carry out simple written instructions.
• Read work orders, labels, and schedules.
• Use a tape measure, inspect for product defects.
• Make fraction and decimal conversions.
• Operate equipment needed to perform a job.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Provide on-the-job training to new employees.
