Job summary
The Greens at Spruce Pine in Spruce Pine, NC is seeking compassionate Registered Nurses to join our Weekend Warrior Program. This weekend-focused role offers 12-hour shifts and the opportunity to supplement weekday plans while delivering high-quality resident care.
Earn an extra $3.00 per hour through the Weekend Warrior differential, with additional shift differentials. We value teamwork, ongoing growth, and a supportive environment where your skills make a difference for residents and families.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited or approved Registered Nursing program.
- Current, active, and unrestricted North Carolina RN license or valid multistate RN license with authorization to practice in North Carolina.
- Previous skilled nursing, long-term care, or rehabilitation experience preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment, communication, and critical-thinking skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative nursing team.
- Compassionate, reliable, and committed to providing excellent resident care.
- Availability to work scheduled weekend shifts.
Responsibilities
- Deliver compassionate, high-quality nursing care while promoting resident comfort, dignity, and safety.
- Assess residents, monitor changes in condition, and communicate concerns to the appropriate healthcare providers.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized resident care plans.
- Administer medications, treatments, and nursing interventions according to physician orders and established nursing standards.
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate resident care.
- Provide clinical guidance and support to LPNs, CNAs, and other nursing team members as appropriate.
- Respond promptly and professionally to changes in resident conditions and emergency situations.
- Maintain accurate, complete, and timely nursing documentation.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Follow infection prevention protocols, facility policies, and applicable state and federal regulations.
- Help maintain a positive, respectful, and supportive work environment.

As a Weekend Warrior RN at The Greens at Spruce Pine, you will:
