Job summary

The Greens at Spruce Pine is seeking compassionate Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to join our Weekend Warrior Program in Spruce Pine, NC. Earn an additional $3.00 per hour with weekend-focused shifts, including 12-hour weekend schedules.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program.
• Current, active North Carolina LPN license or valid multistate license with NC authorization.
• Prior skilled nursing or rehab setting experience preferred.
• Strong observation, communication, and critical-thinking skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care while promoting resident comfort, dignity, and safety.
• Monitor health conditions and report changes to RN or physician.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and regulations.
• Maintain accurate nursing documentation and communicate with residents and families.
• Collaborate with RNs, physicians, CNAs, and the care team to support coordinated care.

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Responsibilities

As a Weekend Warrior LPN at The Greens at Spruce Pine, you will:

• Deliver compassionate, high-quality nursing care while promoting resident comfort, dignity, and safety.

• Monitor residents' health conditions, observe changes, and promptly report concerns to the RN, physician, or appropriate healthcare provider.

• Assist with implementing and updating individualized resident care plans under the direction of the RN or appropriate healthcare provider.

• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately in accordance with physician orders and applicable nursing regulations.

• Perform nursing procedures and provide direct resident care within the LPN scope of practice.

• Collaborate with RNs, physicians, CNAs, and interdisciplinary team members to support coordinated resident care.

• Provide guidance and support to CNAs and other nursing team members as appropriate.

• Recognize and respond promptly to changes in resident conditions and emergency situations.

• Maintain accurate, complete, and timely nursing documentation.

• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals.

• Follow infection prevention protocols, facility policies, and applicable state and federal regulations.

• Help maintain a positive, respectful, and supportive work environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited or approved Practical Nursing program.

• Current, active, and unrestricted North Carolina LPN license or valid multistate LPN license with authorization to practice in North Carolina.

• Previous skilled nursing, long-term care, or rehabilitation experience preferred.

• Strong clinical observation, communication, and critical-thinking skills.

• Ability to work independently within the LPN scope of practice while contributing to a collaborative nursing team.

• Compassionate, reliable, and committed to providing excellent resident care.

• Availability to work scheduled weekend shifts.
