This role supports residents with compassionate care during evenings, nights, and weekends, collaborating with nursing and medical staff to maintain high-quality outcomes.

The RN must hold an active license, CPR certification, and be committed to teamwork, safety, and patient advocacy in a dynamic skilled-nursing setting.

Qualifications

• Active RN license required.
• CPR certification required.
• Experience in skilled nursing/rehab/long-term care recommended.
• Knowledge of clinical care principles and CMS/DOH guidelines recommended.

Responsibilities

• Lead and provide direction and supervision of clinical operations, ancillary nursing personnel, and residents
• Collaborate with a team of nursing and medical staff on evenings, nights, and weekends
• Use professional judgment to assure quality of care for residents
• Develop and implement individualized care plans with the interdisciplinary team

Van Duyn Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing, a 513-bed Skilled Nursing Facility in Syracuse, New York, is seeking a talented Weekend Warrior Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic team! As a Weekend Warrior Registered Nurse (RN), you will provide exceptional care to our residents while collaborating with our team of nursing and medical staff on evenings, nights, and weekends. Responsibilities:

• Lead and provide direction and supervision of clinical operations, ancillary nursing personnel, and residents

• Collaborate with a team of nursing and medical staff on evenings, nights, and weekends

Requirements:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license

• Knowledge of theory, practice, and principles of clinical care (recommended)

• Knowledge of CMS guidelines and DOH reporting and investigation standards (recommended)
