Job summary

ClearView Healthcare Management is seeking a compassionate registered nurse (RN) or licensed practical nurse (LPN) for day shifts with weekend rotation in Kentucky. You will provide bedside care, administer meds, and collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver resident-centered care in a long-term care setting.

Current RN or LPN license required; at least one year of LTC experience preferred. Experience with Matrixcare is a plus.

Qualifications

• Current RN or LPN license is required.
• At least one year of experience as an RN or LPN in a long-term care setting is preferred.
• Knowledge of Matrixcare is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides bedside care for residents and administers medications as prescribed.
• Collaborates with the healthcare team to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care plans.
• Monitors patients, records vital signs, and maintains accurate documentation.
• Maintains professional communication with patients, families, and staff.
• Assists with equipment setup, IVs, dressings, and catheter care as needed.
• Responds to changes in patient condition and follows nursing standards and protocols.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes genuine and positive communication to make each patient feel informed, understood, and special.
• Consults and coordinates with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care plans
• Prepares and administers (orally, subcutaneously, through an IV) and records prescribed medications.
• Records patients medical information and vital signs.
• Monitors and adjusts specialized equipment used on patients, and interprets and records electronic displays.
• Provides bedside care for a wide variety of medical patients.
• Changes dressings, insert catheters, starts IVs
• Prepares equipment and aids physician during examination and treatment of patient
• Responds to life-saving situations based upon nursing standards and protocol
• Records all care information concisely, accurately and completely, in a timely manner, in the appropriate format, and on the appropriate forms.
• Performs other position-related duties as assigned, depending on the assignment setting

Requirements

• Current RN or LPN license.
• At least one year of experience as an RN or LPN in a long-term care setting is preferred.
• Knowledge of Matrixcare is preferred.
