Job summary

Masonic Village Assisted Living and Healthcare Center is seeking a Van Driver to provide safe, compassionate transportation for residents on weekends and other shifts as needed. The role supports access to medical appointments and approved activities, with a focus on resident dignity and safety.

The position emphasizes reliable vehicle operation, adherence to safety policies, and professional interaction with residents, their families, and staff.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older with a valid driver’s license and CDL license.
• Must have a clean driving record and demonstrate safe driving practices.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience transporting patients to and from medical appointments required.
• Ability to interact professionally and compassionately with residents, families, staff, and the public.
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
• Strong desire to work with and support the elderly population.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport residents to and from medical appointments and approved destinations in facility vehicles.
• Assist residents in and out of the vehicle as needed while ensuring safety and comfort.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and operational vehicle in accordance with facility and safety standards.
• Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and facility transportation policies.
• Conduct routine vehicle checks and promptly report any maintenance or safety concerns.
• Maintain timely transportation schedules and communicate any delays or concerns to the appropriate staff.
• Provide courteous and respectful interaction with residents, families, staff, and medical providers.
• Ensure resident safety and well-being during all phases of transport.
