The role involves concurrent reviews for mental health and dual diagnosis patients across inpatient and outpatient settings, plus handling appeals with timely follow-up. Strong communication and regulatory knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse, LPN or Master’s level Social Worker with experience in Utilization Management.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with clinical teams.
• Knowledge of regulatory and reimbursement requirements; basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor treatment activities and ensure quality patient care.
• Interface with treatment teams and managed care organizations for continuity of care.
• Complete concurrent reviews for mental health and dual diagnosis patients (inpatient and outpatient).
• Complete appeals and follow-up until final decisions; communicate with teams and physicians.
