Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer for part-time weekend shifts in Hanahan, SC. The role focuses on unarmed security, routine patrols, access control, and visitor assistance to deter incidents and maintain a safe environment.

You will report incidents, interact with clients and staff professionally, and support badge/access-control processes while joining a team committed to integrity and a people-first culture.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required per laws.
• Drug screen may be required.
• Licensing requirements may apply.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and personnel at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel as required.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, entry points, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access to the location by observing visitor, employee, contractor, and delivery activity in accordance with site-specific procedures.
• Prepare clear and accurate reports regarding incidents, patrol observations, and security-related activities, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.
