Job summary

Big Bend Regional Medical Center in Alpine, TX is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist for the Part-Time Day Shift on Saturdays and Sundays. The role performs diagnostic sonographic examinations and ensures quality images.

You will schedule tests, calibrate equipment, maintain logs, and contribute to patient care in a fast-paced environment. ARDMS registration and OB/GYN/vascular registry experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires a two-year allied health degree and successful completion of an approved one-year program in Ultrasound Technology
• 1+ years of experience in the field
• Requires registration with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS)
• OBGYN experience and registry required.
• Vascular experience and registry highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic sonographic examinations utilizing ultrasonic equipment to locate, evaluate and record critical functional, pathological, and anatomical data
• Schedules and coordinates tests, records test results, and prepares and maintains operational logs
• Calibrates and maintains equipment and orders supplies when needed
• Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field
• Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
• Requires a certain degree of creativity and latitude to perform a variety of tasks
