Job summary
Parkridge Medical Center in Chattanooga, TN is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist for weekend shifts to join our diagnostic imaging team. The role performs a variety of ultrasound procedures ordered by physicians in a patient-centered environment.
The ideal candidate is a graduate of a diagnostic medical sonography program with BLS and ARRT/ARDMS credentials or will obtain them within six months of start. One year of related experience is preferred and a commitment to quality patient care is
Qualifications
- Graduate of a Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
- ARRT(S) or ARDMS Registry must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of imaging procedures ordered by the physician.
- Maintain day-to-day activities to ensure quality patient care in a diagnostic/therapeutic environment.
- Demonstrate ability to perform surgery and portable exams.
- Document completion of the exam in Meditech; scan, document and verify images in PACS.
- Follow procedures for quality controls and HIPAA-related to equipment and accessories.
- Document patient history and lab values accurately.
