Job summary

TriStar Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, TN, is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to perform imaging procedures and support daily operations in a diagnostic environment.

The role requires ARDMS registration or eligibility, BLS, and a year of experience, with emphasis on abdominal, vascular, OB, and pediatric exams. This position is on-site and part of the Ultrasound department within the hospital.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
• ARDMS registered or eligible to acquire registration within six months of hire.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) must be obtained within one year of employment start date.
• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer - Abdomen Specialty (RDMS-AB) must be obtained within one year of employment start date.
• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS).
• One year of experience required.
• Previous acute care experience scanning abdominal, vascular, OB, and some peds strongly preferred.
• Inpatient and women's ultrasound experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of imaging procedures as ordered by physicians.
• Manage day-to-day activities to ensure the delivery of quality patient care in a diagnostic/therapeutic environment.
• Demonstrate the ability to perform stationary and portable exams.
• Accurately follow physician orders, document exam completion in Meditech, scan documents, and verify images in PACS.
• Follow proper procedures for quality controls and High-Level Disinfection related to equipment and accessories.
• Demonstrate proper documentation concerning the patient's history, including lab values.
