Job summary

TriStar Centennial Medical Center is seeking a Weekend Ultrasound Technologist to perform abdominal, OB, vascular, and pediatric imaging. The role requires ARDMS, RDMS, RVT within 1 year, and 1 year of experience, with weekend and night shifts to support the Women’s Ultrasound service in Centennial.

Qualifications

• Must have graduated from an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
• ARDMS registered or eligible to obtain registration within six months.
• Current BLS certification.
• RVT and RDMS-Abdomen within one year of start date.
• RDMS certification required; 1 year of ultrasound experience is required.
• Ability to work weekends and night shift; enhanced weekend/night differential.
• Acute care ultrasound experience in abdominal, vascular, OB and some pediatrics preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of imaging procedures as ordered by physicians.
• Manage day-to-day activities to ensure quality patient care in a diagnostic/therapeutic environment.
• Demonstrate ability to perform stationary and portable exams.
• Document exam completion in Meditech, scan documents, and verify images in PACS.
• Follow quality controls and High-Level Disinfection (HLD) procedures.
• Document patient history and lab values accurately.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The Ultrasound Technologist performs various imaging procedures ordered by physicians and manages daily activities to ensure quality patient care in a diagnostic/therapeutic environment.

What You Will Do in This Role:

• Perform a variety of imaging procedures as ordered by physicians.
• Manage day-to-day activities to ensure the delivery of quality patient care in a diagnostic/therapeutic environment.
• Demonstrate the ability to perform stationary and portable exams.
• Accurately follow physician orders, document exam completion in Meditech, scan documents, and verify images in PACS.
• Follow proper procedures for quality controls and High-Level Disinfection (HLD)related to equipment and accessories.
• Demonstrate proper documentation concerning the patient's history, including lab values.

What Qualifications You Will Need:

• Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
• ARDMS registered or eligible to acquire registration within six months of hire.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS)certification.
• Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT)must be obtained within one year of employment start date.
• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer - Abdomen Specialty (RDMS-AB)must be obtained within one year of employment start date.
• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS).
• One year of experience required.
• Ability to work weekends and night shift (enhanced weekend and night shift differential).
• Previous acute care experience scanning abdominal, vascular, OB, and some peds strongly preferred.
• Inpatient and women's ultrasound experience strongly preferred.
